I've Got News!

I am going to write 'screenplays' for music videos.
Music videos are quite ingenious works of 'art' that incorporate things (other than music) like acting, art, writing, analyzing, and interpretation. I enjoy doing all these things, and for that reason, I'm going to be making them, minus the filming. (I'll get to that later.) Scenes ALWAYS run through my head when listening to music, and this helps me understand the lyrics a little more and understanding the lyrics more helps me to write the meaning to the song on this blog. I'm also writing them because some music videos could have been done a little better. Watch the music video for "Young" as an example. It makes sense, but it could have had more. It also jumps all over the place like a caffeinated film editor edited it. It's so jumpy!

I don't want to take space on this blog for those though, so I made another blog. I'll post something when the first one's done. here is the website name-

Oh, and I promise that my post on "This Love, This Hate" is almost done!

More Hollywood Undead

If you recall what I said in my earlier posts, I have said that I found a total of four songs by Hollywood Undead that were REALLY GOOD. The rest of their songs are absolutely foul, so don't listen to them. They swear a lot and use some sexually derogatory terms. Out of all that crap, I was able to download four songs. One song, "Young," I have heavily talked about already. For the next three posts, I will talk about those four songs. They will go in this order.

This Love, This Hate

Sell Your Soul.

Circles

(None of these songs swear in the slightest.)

And just a few minutes ago, I found a new single on iTunes called "Hear Me Now." It doesn't swear and it sounds cool! So I am going to download it. Oh, I forgot to mention that the songs will be written in the order listed. I will probably do one a day too unless my grandma's house has too slow of internet.
Bye!

A repost

For all those that read my last "collection" post, you saw that the format went a little weird at the end. This made it a little hard to read. So, I'm just going to repost that part, which was an extended version of "Young" written by me. I wrote it to fit my interpretation of the song. Also, in addition to what I wrote, I'm going to post all the lyrics on here, and any alterations and/or additions will be in red.

We are young, but we have heart
Born in this world as it all falls apart
We are strong, but we don't belong
Born in this world as it all falls apart

I see the children in the rain like the parade before the pain
I see the love, I see the hate, I see this world that we can make
I see the life, I see the sky, give it all to see you fly
Yes, we wave this flag of hatred but you're the ones who made it

Watch the beauty of all our lies passing right before my eyes
I hear the hate in all your words, all the wars to make us hurt
We get so sick of so sick, we never wanted all this
Medication for the kids with no reason to live

So we march to the drums of the devil as we come
Watch it burn in the sun, we are numb

We are young, but we have heart
Born in this world as it all falls apart
We are strong, but we don't belong
Born in this world as it all falls apart

As we walk among these shadows, in these streets, this fields of battle
Take it up, we wear the medal, raise your hands with burning candles
Hear us whisper in the dark, in the rain you see the spark
Feel the beating of our hearts, fleeting hope as we depart

All together, walk alone against all we've ever known
All we've ever really wanted was a place to call our home
But you take all we are, the innocence of our hearts
Made to kneel before the alter as you tear us apart

So we march to the drums of the devil as we come
Watch it burn in the sun, we are numb

We are young, but we have heart
Born in this world as it all falls apart
We are strong, but we don't belong
Born in this world as it all falls apart

We wander with no aim and it soon becomes a shame
For the Father of all lies, it now becomes a game.
Need direction in our life so that we can win the fight.
Now we finally see the light, now to the sky we finally fly.

Even though we walk alone, against all we've ever known.
We can all look up to Christ cause it's with him we'll find our home.
We all know who we are, and with our souls and our hearts,
We'll be others to the alter cause it won't fall apart.

We don't march to the drums of the devil as we come
We're in shade out of sun, can't go numb!

We are young, but we have heart
born in this world as it all falls apart
We are strong, yea, we do belong
to mend this world as it all falls apart

We will fight or we will fall till the angels save us all
We will fight or we will fall till the angels save us all
We will fight or we will fall till the angels save us all
We will fight or we will fall till the angels save us all

We are young, but we have heart
born in this world as it all falls apart
We are strong, yea, we do belong
to mend this world as it all falls apart

We are young, but we have heart
born in this world as it all falls apart
We are strong, yea, we do belong
to mend this world as it all falls apart

(END)

I really didn't want to be pushy and ask this, but would you guys PLEASE comment? I realize some of you have been, which I'm grateful for, and I'm grateful you're actually reading my posts, but it would be nice to receive a little feedback. If you don't ever comment again, at least comment on this post. Please?

(I just previewed this, and for some reason, it STILL formats weird! I'm going to go insane! Oh well, I'll live........)

UPDATE- It's no longer messed up! YAY! My mom figured outt that you have to use notepad and past it here because of html codes or something.

A Collection of Posts- Forgiveness, A Start, A Poem, My Extended Version of "Young," and More Info On Hollywood Undead.

Okay, it's nearly killed me, but I've restrained myself from posting so the posts I wrote actually got read instead of skipped over. So here I am, sitting at the computer, ready to write some things I have been wanting to write for a few days now. But instead of making a separate post for each thing, I'm going to do it all in one post. So.... Here I go-

Forgiveness
Last Tuesday, in seminary, we talked about forgiveness. It was a really good lesson, but there's something specific that I wanted to point out. Brother Wood pointed out the fact that the revelation in D&C:64 was given on September 11, 1831. Brother Wood didn't say anything specific, but he said that he was sure this was "no coincidence" that it was given on this day. As we all (should) know, one of America's worst moments took place on September 11, 2001, the terrorist attacks. So I'm not 100% sure what he was referring to specifically, but my guess is is that he was saying we should forgive the terrorists. I have no idea who else he could have been referring too.. It may seem absolutely insane, but it doesn't really when you think about it. God told us to forgive ALL MEN, (and woman, but you know what I mean) no matter what it was they did. I know that if I were to announce this on t.v. or something, I might end the day in the ER, but it seems logical. Yes, these terrorists brought a living nightmare upon New York City, The Pentagon, three airplanes, and the soul of all that witnessed it, but they are sons of God and deserve to be loved by him the same as any other person. What they did was horrible beyond all comprehension, but God still loves them. That being said, they too deserve forgiveness. It sound absolutely mad, but I have a feeling it's true. I know it's possible. Just look to Joseph Smith or Brother Williams for an example. (We learned about this guy too in seminary) Because of a letter written by a guy I can't remember, (the one who wrote many of the hymns) the saints and Joseph had to go through so much agony. Despite it all, Joseph was still friends with the guy afterwards. Brother Williams was able to forgive the kid who was drunk even though he killed his wife and two kids. So, even though forgiving a terrorist might be really insane, it should be done.

A Start
This is the beginning of a song. It's the chorus so far, but unfortunately, I can't tell you how to play it cause I don't know how to play the piano myself, but anyway, here it is-

I’m sorry what for what I’ve done.
I’m sorry for what I’ve become.
And I’m sorry that I’ve been this way.
But I promise you that I’ll start changing today.

I have a little bit more, but it will need work. For some reason, I keep thinking of Nickleback singing this. Dang, I wish I could somehow show you the tune because it's just so awesome! I'll post it once I figure it out. Oh, and the third line may be replaced with "And I'm sorry for the things I've said." But anyway, there it is.

A Poem
Despite the fact that I don't post too many poems, I actually have a few in reserve. I just haven't felt that it was the right time to post them. But today, I'll post one here.

One, two, I’ll buckle your shoe.
Three, four, I’ll hold the door.
Five, six, I’ll pick up your sticks.
Seven, eight, you need a break.
You need a break.
You need a break.

Service shows how much you care.
Service shows that you’ll be there.
If they ever need someone,
They know that you’ll be there to show them love.

Oh,

Life ain’t worth living if it’s all for myself,
It’s only worth living if it’s for someone else.
Help someone in need.
Service makes your life complete.
If you help someone,
It’s helping your father from above.

One, two, go out and do.
Three, four, go do some more.
Five, six, your neighbor’s sick.
Seven, eight, oh, does it feel great?

Oh, does it feel great?
 Oh, does it feel great?

Service shows how much you care.
Service shows that you’ll be there.
If they ever need someone,
They know that you’ll be there to show them love.

Oh,

Life ain’t worth living if it’s all for myself,
It’s only worth living if it’s for someone else.
Help someone in need.
Service makes your life complete.
If you help someone,
It’s helping your father from above

One, two, now you got the flue.
Three, four, can’t do your chore.
Five, six, your neighbor’s picking your sticks.
Seven, eight, you get a break.
You get a break.
You get a break.

Oh,
Service shows how much you care.
Service shows that you’ll be there.
When you’re always there for someone,
They’ll come right back to show you love.

Life ain’t worth living if it’s all for myself,
It’s only worth living if it’s for someone else.
You helped someone in need,
and now there returning that loving deed.
If you’ve ever helped someone,
You’ll get back help from everyone.

It’s a blessing.
Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

Again, awesome tune, but no way to prove it.

My Extended Version of "Young"
If you read my post on the song, you'll get this verse a little more. If you haven't go read it.
This is an extra verse that I have written to fit my interpretation of the song. I'm thinking that it would go
1.Chorus
2.Verse 1
3.Verse 2
4.Altered Hook (The line that begins"so we march to the drums..." except it's altered.)
5.Chorus (with a small alteration)
6."We will fight or we will fall..."

We wander with no aim,and
it soon becomes a shame.

We will fight, or we will fall
till the angels save us all

(And it goes on from there)
So there you go.

More Info on Hollywood Undead
I know you may be tired with me talking about this song, but keep reading anyway. I'm going to save you from going deaf.
Turns out, these guys do talk a little about drinking and sex is everywhere in there songs. It's like rap, only three-times as raunchy. I was trying to find some more good songs by these guys, and I did, but I found a lot more crap. Although my "Undead" statistic was wrong, it's not any better. it's EPICALLY RAUNCHY. I found a song called "Circles" which was pretty decent. I mean it was completely appropriate, it just wasn't my favorite. "Sell Your Soul" was appropriate in language, but it's both depressing and a little violent. It's still good though. "This Love, This Hate" is probably just as amazing as "Young." It's a tad bit depressing, but it has an amazing composition. Other than those songs, all other songs I found might give my mom a heart attack! Oh, and my mom didn't even know who Hollywood Undead was, so it's not banned. YAY!

If you had the perseverance to read this all, thank-you! And comments are appreciated.....A lot................................................................................................................................................................................................bye.
(And no, the way the last half of this post is formatted is not my fault. The rap is formatted as follows, and the very first two lines are one. It goes four, four, two, and four. If you follow this format for lines, you should see the similarities in this song with the original.

VOTING TIME!

I was looking at Anna's blog, and she was wondering what she should submit to the Teen Ink writing contest. So, that's what I'm wondering as well. What do you think is the best piece of writing on here so far?
(Oh, and if you haven't yet read the post about the song "Youth," I again BEG you to read it. I am in no way complaining, I just REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, want you to read it.

Thank-you for your time.

Oh, and if you're reading this Mr. Thompson, I want to notify you that I'm going to write something new in addition as well.

READ THIS!

I wrote a post on the Hollywood Undead song "Young" and I wrote a post on celebrities. If you decide for some reason that you only want to read one of them, READ THE ONE ABOUT THE SONG.
Thank-you, and have a nice day.

Celebrities

What makes a celebrity so special that we have to document every single thing they do. The minute someone like Angelina Jolie farts, TMZ has to document it like the world's biggest blunder. If one of them makes a stupid comment, they make it seem deeper than it really is or dirty. As everyone knows, we all make mistakes, but why is it that every blunder, whether it be past or present, is put on the front page and made bigger and badder than it really is? Everything is made to look like the celebrity is the scum of the Earth. If a break-up happens, someone is always an absolute "monster." And that brings me to another thing. What is up with all the break-ups, cheatings, and one-night stands? Have these celebrities forgotten what love is? I swear, it's like all these people met in a bar, drunk. It's just so insane. The reason I'm talking about this is because I went to Smith's tonight. I saw all of these magizines talking about how much this person's life suck because of some one else. One of these was talking about some girl and a guy named Brad (No, I don't think it was Brad Pitt.) I don't know what the story is on this guy and girl, but I swear, I've seen stories on these two people and their relationship for three years or so. It's not that that gets to me though. The thing that gets to me is the fact that they've all been about how Brads a monster and how the relationship isn't going good and all that other celebrity gossip. What's up with that? I don't know if I'm pulling earlier memories too far back or if it's a different set of people, but either way, it's annoying.

I can understand if you want to keep up with a celebrities current affairs out of curiosity. They might be really influential, and you want to know what they think on something. Sometimes, you might want to see if he's a hypocrite even. What people are doing though is not curiosity, it's just gossip. I might want to read or watch an interview with Pat Monahan or maybe some report on him, but I don't want to know what embarrassing thing he did or what scandal he's in. I really don't care and he needs his privacy. That would tick me off like no other if I were famous. I don't want to disclose every single little detail of what I'm doing in life. I would probably be known as the "paparazzi hater" since the questions paparazzi ask are really stupid. I might go crazy on camera and not even care.

My mom walked in and I told her what I was writing. In response, she brought up a very good point. If I knew that Brandon Flowers was here in Kaysville, she asked "would you go down to see him?"
"Heck yea."
"Why?"
"Uhh, because he's...... awesome and.. doesn't make crap like Lady Gaga."
That's how the conversation began. She told me that if I were to see a tabloid on The Killers, I would totally read it, which is true. She told me that I'm really no different from these other people who read tabloids. I kinda disagree though because I don't read them to make myself feel better than a celebrity who may be fat or something. Nevertheless, she's right. So I guess I shouldn't have gotten so critical before thinking of myself. So I admit it, I'm not perfect. I STILL don't care to know what every little thing they're doing. I said previously that if there was an interview or report, I would read it. Some people read them though to make themselves feel better. I don't. They're just theater nerds (as my mom says) who happen to make a whole lot more money than the average guy or girl. (And no, I'm not making fun of people in theater class. I'm in theater myself, so that would really weird if I was.) So anyway, don't depend on tabloids to lift your self esteem.
Bye.

"Young" by Hollywood Undead (Trust Me, Keep Reading.)

This is a really good song. You can feel the power and energy of what this guy sings. I have made a statement before saying that every band or artist will have at least one good song. This is that kind of song. I'm not saying these guys talk about drinking till you throw up or having a one-night stand, but they swear A LOT. I bet if I were to count the amount of swear words in the song "Undead," it would be two non-swears to for every three swear words. I don't like those kinds of songs. I'm sorry to all you Hollywood Undead fans, but I don't. I really love "Young" though. It actually swears twice, but I don't really mind. That may be quite bad, but it's used it in context. They don't use it for the hey of it. It's like the word "hell." Depending on how you use it, it's either swearing or an actual word. I think Hollywood Undead might actually be banned at our house, I'm not quite sure. (But the amount of swearing would cause it to be banned anyway.) So I just wanted to show you this song, because it really is great.
This song categorizes into a genre called rap metal. It's exactly what it sounds like. It's sung in the style of rap, but it has all the elements a metal and/or rock song might have. It sounds quite cool. For those of you who don't like screamo, then go ahead without worry because It doesn't have any. Just click on the link below and watch the video before or after you read this. It's an awesome song!

We are young, we have heart
Born in this world as it all falls apart
We are strong, we don't belong
Born in this world as it all falls apart

<(This chorus is saying that although we might be strong, we are in a time where a lot of evil is in this world. (Which, I might add, is the reason we live at this time.))>

I see the children in the rain like the parade before the pain
I see the love, I see the hate, I see this world that we can make
I see the life, I see the sky, give it all to see you fly
Yes, we wave this flag of hatred but you're the ones who made it

<(I think this verse is saying that all of us, the youth of this world, have so much potential to make a difference and become great, but many of us don't because of factors we can't control.(Although, there are some that we can, but the last line of the verse suggests that it's about he uncontrollable.))>

Watch the beauty of all our lies passing right before my eyes
I hear the hate in all your words, all the wars to make us hurt
We get so sick of so sick, we never wanted all this
Medication for the kids with no reason to live

<(Again, the first two lines are talking about seemingly uncontrollable factors. The next line says that we don't want any of this. We're sick of it. The next line might speak of actual medication. We have it, "but why live," it says?)>

So we march to the drums of the d***** as we come
Watch it burn in the sun, we are numb

<(A drummer keeps things on beat, such as marchers. In this case, it says that we are "marching" with the tempters and deceivers, such a Satan. We blindly follow them without a fight. We're being "sunburned" by the evil. We don't realize what is happening because we have become numb to the evil. We don''t recognize just what mess we've gotten ourselves into until it's too late. By then, we're either dead spiritually or physically. If we're not either of those, we're getting very close, and it's going to take a lot to be revived.)>

We are young, we have heart
Born in this world as it all falls apart
We are strong, we don't belong
Born in this world as it all falls apart

As we walk among these shadows, in these streets, this fields of battle
Take it up, we wear the medal, raise your hands with burning candles
Hear us whisper in the dark, in the rain you see the spark
Feel the beating of our hearts, fleeting hope as we depart

<(This is my probably favorite verse. It has a lot of power and has that hint of mystery woven in the lyrics. "As we walk among these shadows" seems to describe the loneliness and danger of the streets. The next part says "Streets=Fields of battle." The second line seems to be a statement of coming together. I imagine hundreds of burning candles being raised up among the city, small spots of light in an evil world. It just seems to be a statement of becoming united. The part of the medal seems contradictory though. I think this 'medal' is a false medal or something. Next line seems to be an uprising, something like the last line. The youth are starting to become of force of light to be reckoned with. Then last, some more intense description of feeling and power. It then states how when not united or together, hope is lost. Therefore, we must stay united.)>

All together, walk alone against all we've ever known
All we've ever really wanted was a place to call our home
But you take all we are, the innocence of our hearts
Made to kneel before the alter as you tear us apart

<(Life is hard, and when your facing the world and much of modern society, it's like you're going against all you've ever known. It may also be talking about how some people finally take a stand, hence, they go against all they've ever known. If parents have been irresponsible or abusive, the next line says how they've always just wanted a love and peace. Even if you have good parents, there's always room for more love and peace. We are not perfect, after all. The next line refers to the bad influences of the world and Satan. Both take the innocence of our hearts. Maybe physically with abuse or drugs or spiritually with pornography. The last line talks about a metaphorical alter. When we follow Satan, whether we realize it or not, it is like kneeling at his "religious" shrine. We sometimes follow something bad without knowing it's bad. These kids have been raised up in a wrong way, so they are unknowingly kneeling before an alter of evil and it's destroying them, but they don't know it.)>

So we march to the drums of the d***** as we come
Watch it burn in the sun, we are numb

We are young, we have heart
Born in this world as it all falls apart
We are strong, we don't belong
Born in this world as it all falls apart

We will fight or we will fall till the angels save us all
We will fight or we will fall till the angels save us all
We will fight or we will fall till the angels save us all
We will fight or we will fall till the angels save us all

<(This is almost like a war cry. A deceleration that we will either fight against evil. If we don't we will either die or spiritually die. And we're going to keep fighting until we are saved by either the every-day angels of our lives, or literally by Christ and his Angels.)>

We are young, we have heart
Born in this world as it all falls apart
We are strong, we don't belong
Born in this world as it all falls apart

We are young, we have heart
Born in this world as it all falls apart
We are strong, we don't belong
Born in this world as it all falls apart

<(END)>

As you might have guessed, not all of our lives are this bad. Yes, we need to be united and work as a team and Satan is real, but not everyone lives on the dangerous streets or has abusive parents. Therefore, I am soooo grateful for my current circumstance in life and also that I have the gospel. The gospel just makes the war we call life a whole lot easier. Not only that EVERY SINGLE PERSON ON EARTH HAS THE LIGHT OF CHRIST. So train yourself to recognize those "false alters" and start following Christ. It is only with him that our world will find true peace and happiness.

Thank-you for reading.

Here's the music video below-

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R_HHm9ki3JI

The music video is almost pg-13. It shows the band over-taking on old guy who is apparently a dictator, but they don't beat him up or kill him, just over-take him. It also shows a woman on one of various posters in a slightly low-cut bikini. So if you're like me and you find that immodest, I thought I should warn you. The posters it shows seems to glorify the rich, beautiful (the worldly view), and sexual way of life. This suggests that true happiness doesn't lie in these things, which is true. One sign even says "Smile, some one's watching you." Giving proof that some dictatorship and oppression is occurring. Another strange thing is that the dictator's flag, which has a grenade as the emblem, is in black and white on red, just like the Nazi Swastika. This actually has meaning to it. Hitler trained youth to fight for him. He deceived them and made them do his bidding.

Sooooooooo thank-you again for reading some more even though this post technically ended a paragraph ago.

Oh, And One More Thing....

For the Holidays, listen to Trains "Shake Up Christmas." It's a very fun song.

Train

Train is a sort of folk-rock band from San Fransisco. It is Composed of Pat Monahan, who is the lead vocalist, Jimmy Stafford, who is also the vocalist and guitarist, and Scott Underwood, the percussionist. They are an amazing band and probably one of my favorites. They make such awesome songs, and I love every single one of them. They even won two Grammy awards for their song "Drops of Jupiter." The songs they write are beautiful and fun. Not only that, I haven't found one song by them that talks about lust. They talk of actual love! I find that pretty dang awesome. In fact, there's a line in the song "Marry Me" that states "you wear white and I wear out the words 'I love you' and 'you're beautiful.' That line is both clever and beautiful. Not only that, "you wear white" suggests that this girl has been chaste in her life. It's a tradition to wear white at your wedding if that is the case. So this guy (Pat Monahan) seems to respect the law of chastity. They also use a whole lot of string instruments such as cellos and violins, which is WAAAAAAAY awesome. So, I just wanted to give a little thoughts on this magnificent band. Here are some songs to listen to as well.

"Marry Me" and "Marry Me (First Dance Mix)" The mix is not a techno version, despite the name.

"Brick by Brick"

"This Ain't Goodbye" This was co-written by Pat Monahan and Ryan Tedder of OneRepublic, so if you like that band, you should like this song.

"Words"

"I Got You" This song samples, meaning contains lyrics of, the Doobie Brother's "Black Water."

"Parachute"

While you're at it, listen to everything else. They're all awesome. The album "Save Me San Fransisco" is excellent. I actually bought it. The song of the same name says the D-word though. Just thought I should warn you. It's an awesome song though.

I Was Wrong

Remember how I said Katy Perry was a bad artist? Yea....I take that back. Although I still think "California Gurls" is sick and "I Kissed a Girl" is wrong on soooooooooooo many levels, a few of her songs are actually VERY good. "Teenage Dream," "Thinking of You," and "Firework" are all really good. I haven't listened to the others, but I will now assume they're good. Oh, "Hot N Cold" is sorta good as well . So, I just wanted to tell you all that.

Good-bye.

"Into the Ocean" by Blue October

I'm just a normal boy
That sank when I fell overboard
My ship would leave the country
But I'd rather swim ashore

Without a life vest I'd be stuck again
Wish I was much more masculine
Maybe then I could learn to swim
Like 'fourteen miles away'

Now floating up and down
I spin, colliding into sound
Like whales beneath me diving down
I'm sinking to the bottom of my
Everything that freaks me out
The lighthouse beam has just run out
I'm cold as cold as cold can be
Be

I want to swim away but don't know how
Sometimes it feels just like I'm falling in the ocean
Let the waves up take me down
Let the hurricane set in motion, yeah
Let the rain of what I feel right now, come down
Let the rain come down

Where is the coastguard
I keep looking each direction
For a spotlight, give me something
I need something for protection
Maybe flotsam junk will do just fine
The jetsam sunk, I'm left behind
I'm treading for my life believe me
(How can I keep up this breathing)

Not knowing how to think
I scream aloud, begin to sink
My legs and arms are broken down
With envy for the solid ground
I'm reaching for the life within me
How can one man stop his ending
I thought of just your face
Relaxed, and floated into space

I want to swim away but don't know how
Sometimes it feels just like I'm falling in the ocean
Let the waves up take me down
Let the hurricane set in motion, yeah
Let the rain of what I feel right now, come down
Let the rain come down

Now waking to the sun
I calculate what I had done
Like jumping from the bow, yeah
Just to prove that I knew how, yeah
It's midnight's late reminder of
The loss of her, the one I love
My will to quickly end it all
So thought no end my need to fall

Into the ocean, end it all
Into the ocean, end it all
Into the ocean, end it all
Into the ocean, end it all

Into the ocean (goodbye) end it all (goodbye)
Into the ocean (goodbye) end it all (goodbye)
Into the ocean (goodbye) end it all (goodbye)

I want to swim away but don't know how
Sometimes it feels just like I'm falling in the ocean
Let the waves up take me down
Let the hurricane set in motion, yeah
Let the rain of what I feel right now, come down
Let the rain come down

Into the ocean (goodbye) end it all (goodbye)
(In to space)
Into the ocean (goodbye) end it all (goodbye)
Into the ocean (goodbye) end it all (goodbye)
Into the ocean (goodbye) end it all (goodbye)
Into the ocean (goodbye) end it all (goodbye)
Into the ocean (goodbye) end it all (goodbye)
I thought of just your face.

This song is a description of the singers depression and suicidal tendencies.
This song tells of a dream spawned by a man's depression over the death of a loved one. He dreams of drowning and fighting to keep alive, but when he thinks of the one he has lost, it seems that he gives up. He's tired of fighting when he's so miserable and (seemingly) alone. He loses to will to live and he dies. At the point where he says "midnight's late reminder," this says that it was all a dream. That's basically the outline of the song. Before I post my complete interpretation though, I'll let you people think on it.

This song is amazing. It's written like poetry and composed in such a deep way. I LOVE IT! It's like "The Man Who Can't Be Moved." I love it so much, it takes root in my brain and keeps reverberating on and on, but I don't care. In fact, I love it! It doesn't drive me insane like "Disturbia" did. (Even though I like it.)

This is a sort of rock song, but it's just a little bit more rock than "The Man Who Can't Be Moved." It's got a sort of riffing beat that sounds like some sort of steel drum, only deeper. I don't really know what it is, but it's quite unique. It's got an low-electric guitar and bass.Drums and cymbals are used, and for it's crowning piece, a mandolin (or something like it) is used with a bow, making the most exquisite sound.   So, if you are one of those people who doesn't enjoy rock as much should REALLY enjoy this song. It's absolutely amazing.

This next statement is one reason I love music. some people who were contemplating suicide changed their minds after hearing this song.

Into the Ocean," with Delahoussaye's seductive violin siren call and plucked mandolin, openly contemplates a death wish with so much honesty, fans write to the band, claiming tracks like this have prevented their own suicidal impulses.
"I love Justin's lyrics," says guitarist [CB] Hudson, ..."Our music touches people in the heart. I'm really proud of that."
"If I have saved others, I don't know what to say," admits Justin. "But if I can do that for them, why... can't I do that for myself?"[1]

Favorite Music

For this post, I was going to make a list of favorite, but in reality, choosing a favorite artist is like choosing which family member you love the most. It's just not possible. I can name what artists I hate, but that's pretty easy. I will say this though. For reasons unknown, The Killers and Train really seem to stand out. Maybe it's because I find them unique. The Killers are an alternative rock band, but they have a unique sound. It's hard to explain, but I know it to be true. Maybe it's the heavy use of synthesizers. I really can't tell. Train does rock as well, but they seem to have a folk style or something. They also make use of pianos and string instruments, which I love.

So, my favorite music is the kind that involves more than just the standard electric guitar, bass, and drums. I love the many other instruments as well. String instruments create the most phenomenal sound. Brass and woodwinds seem to add the 'boom' in music, and pianos, organs, and synthesizers make a song even more better. So you can understand a little more, here are few songs to listen to-

"Brick by Brick"

"Drops of Jupiter"

"This Ain't Goodbye"

The beginning of "You Already Know"

These four songs are by Train. While you're at it, listen to there other songs. I've only heard them swear once out of all the songs I've heard. (It's in the song, "Save Me San Fransisco." It says the D-word.)

Some more examples-

"Eleanor Rigby" by The Beatles

"Viva La Vida"

"Fix You"

Both by Coldplay

"Bones" by The Killers

Ect.

"Thnks Fr Th Mmrs" by Fall Out Boy is an excellent example, but unfortunately, the lyrics are not really the lyrics you want to be thinking of all day. This really ticks me off because I love that song but the lyrics do not meet my standards all the way.

In other-words, I don't like solid, pure rock. All the different sounds create beautiful works of musical and poetic art.

So, now that I've told you my Favorite style, I want to know what you like. Also, name a band or two to give me an idea. The reason being because if you say something like "rock," I won't really get a good idea. But if name a band, I can associate the term rock with a specific sub-genre.

I am eagerly waiting for your answer.

Music

What is music? Wikipedia defines it as "an art form whose medium is sound." Plato defines is as "the movement of sound to reach the soul  for the education of its virtue. Both are true. The first is mainly scientific, and the other is philosophical. Music is definitely an art form, and it definitely  educates the soul. It doesn't matter if it's rock, rap, classical, post-rock, pop, or any of the other hundreds of genres and sub-genres, they all express feeling and (hopefully) virtue. This is why I love music so much. It expresses the feelings that essays, politics, and science can't always explain. Instead, it explains what religion, morals, the soul, and much of philosophy try to explain. And besides all that, it can be describe very poetically. You don't even need lyrics all to express emotion. A cello can express a deep sense of feelings such as love, sadness, or unspeakable joy. Trumpets and other brass instruments relay a feeling of adventure and triumph. You don't even need to fill the whole song with sound. Sometimes, the most beautiful parts of a song are the silence. An example of this is the Sigur Ros song, "Heysatan." (No, it's not a satanic greeting, it means "stack of hay.) A lot of the song has brief periods of silence. But it's beautiful. I don't even know the lyrics and I like it.
So, we know that music can be an expression or release of emotion, so what do you think happens when you listen to it. It affects the way you feel and think, of course! Rock will give you adrenaline, ambient can induce a sleepy and peaceful feeling, and hymns attract the spirit. (Why do you think we sing hymns in church?) Brigitte asked in her post a good question. Did all the criminals in the world listen to classical music in there teens, or did they listen to hard rock, rap, and other crappy music There are many different factors as to what lead a criminal to do what he did, but music probably had an influence along the way. I disagree when she says rap isn't music, but the large majority of those artists make pretty trashy music. And as for hard rock, we have been warned not to listen to it all the time. Why? Because if all we listen to is the fast-paced riffing of rock, our senses become dull to the spirit. It becomes harder to notice. And that's my point. If all you listen to is the crappy music that a lot of the world seems to love, you will not become the best person you can be. It might seem blasphemous, but I swear it's true. Besides, it makes sense. If you're constantly feeding your mind trash, your mind will keep it. You'll get an inappropriate song stuck in your head, which will repeat. The spirit will not be with you, and if your actions will begin to reflect the songs you hear. And most of all, your mind will be more susceptible to the dirty hands of Satan. So, I beg and plead you to NOT listen to bad music. Stay away from the dirty songs like a plague. I promise that it will be worth it.

I hope you don't mind, but here's the post I was referring to-

Awesome post!

Awesome Song........As Always

There is a man named Dan Adams who has put a few works of Shakespeare to music. I couldn't find that many though, and I only know one of the scenes. This scene is the "Double Double Toil and Trouble" scene. It's quite creepy. He plays the bongos and somebody plucks the cello. It's just awesome. Here's a link to the video.

Heaphones Secret.

I have discovered two really cool things to do with headphones. The first one is quite interesting. If you pull the connector of your headphones, the low vocals, low notes and bass either nearly disappear or go away entirely. When I did this on "Hey Soul Sister," the vocals and Ukulele sounded wavy, and not much change happened. But soon, as it progressed to the chorus, I could clearly hear a piano being played, especially during the chorus. I never even noticed a piano. On "Fireflies" and "Viva La Vida," vocals disappear. The way to do this is hard to describe, but I will try to describe it. You pull at the end slightly so it's not completely in, but not enough for it to slip out. I would suggest you just tug at it slowly until you hear a change. Try it, it's AWESOME!

The second cool thing is not actually a secret, but I never noticed it until today. I was listening to "Uncle Jonny" by The Killers, and I had a single had phone in my ear and the the other was hanging. But I decided that I should switch ears, so I grabbed the headphone that was hanging and put that one in my ear and took the other out. I was amazed when the riffing electric guitars turned into bass and drums. I switched again, and the tune also switched back.

So, find a song and try these out. I don't know what songs work with the second example, but it's cool if you can find one.

New Music!

Over the past week or so, I have discovered new music. Well, I'm always discovering new music, but I thought these artists might be note-worthy.

First up is The London Symphony Orchestra. They have made covers of the bands Queen, the Beatles, Michael Jackson, and more! I've downloaded 33 songs by them so far. I would highly suggest "Smooth Criminal." If you look on youtube, there's even a version where the vocals have been added. These guys and girls are awesome.

Sigur Ros- This is a band from Iceland. They make a sort of ambient-rock that is known as post rock. I read many of the comments on youtube, and they have all been along the lines of "this is real music," and I agree, there are other genres of music that I love, but if you want a band that makes clean and beautiful music, Sigur Ros would be a good choice. An interesting thing about this band is that some of their lyrics are in "Hopelandic," which is a bunch of gibberish that sounds like icelandic. This is used to create an 'instrument' out of noise. Listen to "Starálfur" or "Sæglópur" (Lost at Sea.) Also, check out the music of Jonsi (Yown-sigh) . He's the lead singer and since the band is on an indefinate hiatus, he's gone solo until they come together again. I would highly and extremely suggest "Lilikoi Boy." It's an awesome song with good lyrics and a tune. The drumbeat is quite invigorating too.

If any of  you have Mrs. Bitner for a teacher, you have most likely heard the the "Somewhere over the Rainbow/Wonder World Mashup." This song is made by Hawaiian artist Israel Kamakawiwo'ole also known as Bruddah Iz. His songs are quite peaceful and he is a hero of sorts throughout Hawaii. On the day of his death, Hawaii state flags were flown at half-staff. He is the third person of that state to receive this honor and the first person that wasn't a government official. He also had a bronze statue made in his honor. Obviously, he is highly respected and his music isn't trash. Other than his famous medley, I would suggest "White Sandy Beach." It's a very nice Ukulele song.

What a Stupid and overused Statement!

I just watched the season finale of "The Amazing Race." I forgot what past season it was, but that's beside the point. For those of you who are unfamiliar with this show, it's a race around the world. Every day, people start and end the race in a new country. They have to complete tasks and challenges along the way. These challenges are associated with the culture and environment of the area. After each 'leg', a team (of two) are eliminated.
One of these teams was a mom and her deaf 20-something son. This team was on there, for one reason, to prove that deaf people really can do anything. In the end, (after coming in third place) he 'signed' this (well, something like this)-
"Since I went on the Amazing Race and I'm deaf, I guess that means that any deaf person can do anything."

What the heck?

You mean, deaf people can ACTUALLY fly on airplanes, paint faces, dance, and even eat with a spoon? I didn't realize! Just imagine, now that this man has gone on the amazing race, deaf people can now realize that they're not IDIOTS! They really are people! Guess I was wrong when I said to the deaf girl "HA! YOU CAN'T USE FACE PAINT BECAUSE YOU'RE DEAF!"

Seriously? That was a really stupid statement he and she made. Why is this something that needs to be proved? Of course you can do the same things a non-deaf person can! Anybody who keeps telling you otherwise is either worried or an idiot. Of course, when the statement was first made, it was okay to say. In the amazing race, you have to communicate with a lot of people, and being deaf brings up many challenges. So when they came in first place on the first leg, it was proven, no more proving needed. But when a problem came up, they played the 'deaf card.' (or excuse) It was all "poor me, I'm deaf." That got irritating. There was an episode where a girl accidentally bumped into the deaf guy (who I will call Bob) and got to the "clue card" box before him. Because of this, Bob's team had a big misunderstanding. He said she "intentionally" bumped into him. He started signing to her in frustration, and she started to laugh. Either because she was nervous or she found his anger funny, Bob's team got mad. They started saying that everybody doesn't understand and they started pulling the 'poor me, I'm deaf ' card again. They even said "Your black, so you should understand." That was also a dumb statement. Unless they happen upon the rare occasion of meeting a racist, the color of skin has no disadvantage. And the African-American team didn't say "poor us, we're black" at all. But here's a deaf guy whining that deaf people are at a disadvantage because of a disability. It's ridiculous. The girl even apologized to them, but Bob and mom held a grudge for the rest of the game.

You might be thinking that I'm so mean for insulting this deaf guy and that I don't know what it's like to be deaf. And you know what, your right. I'm really am being quite mean and I have absolutely no clue how horrible it must be to be deaf. I wouldn't be able to listen to music anymore! That would be devastating! And I fully realize that being deaf can be frustrating, but being deaf is no cap on ability. Sure, you might not be able to listen to music, but you can compose. Beethoven was one of the world's most famous composers and he was deaf. I saw a deaf dancer on "So You Think You Can Dance" and he was good. He didn't make the cut, but he was good. He was even able to inspire me. So, when this guy keeps using his disability as an excuse to complain, that just annoys me. Also, I'm diabetic, so I can sort of sympathize with him. But sadly, I also can't because that means I know how it is to be disabled. Does it suck? At times, yes. Defiantly. Most times, not really. So, I know that I were to replace deaf, with diabetic in the earlier statement, I would sound so stupid. Diabetes doesn't cap ability at all. Sure, it may make exercise harder and eating more work, but it has no affect on my opportunity to travel. Being a diabetic didn't stop me from experiencing a two week trip in New York, so do I have the right to say "Since I went on this trip, that means Diabetics can do anything...?" Yes, I do, but it would sound extremely dumb. And that's why I don't say it. So, I really don't have to much sympathy for the guy for being a whiner. I'm sorry, but I don't

Now, if you have some disability and people doubt you and you just need to prove this... THING to them, then go ahead, I applaud you for taking a stand. But if you use that disability to blame EVERY SINGLE PROBLEM in your life, then I'm sorry, but my applauds run out.

Also, I'm not discriminator. I might have sounded so in this post and I want to make that clear. I DO NOT THINK ANY LESS OF YOU IF YOU ARE HANDICAPPED OR DISABLED IN ANY WAY.

This team just ticked me of.

Listen-if you dare.

There is a hard punk-rock/metal band called "Evergreen Terrace." There songs "Chaney Can't Quite Riff Like Helmet's Page Hamilton" and "Sending Signals" are good. They do have 'demonic' vocals, but they actually sound good. I was trying to listen to their other songs, and I came upon "Wolfbiker." If you ever want an example of the metal I despise with a burning passion, listen to that first part. My computer died, so I don't know how the whole song goes, but the very beginning brought upon the same feelings I had in the mall.

Look it up on Youtube. I dare you. I promise that it doesn't swear. (Not that you'd be able to tell) It's just about ten seconds of pain to understand just what it is I hate.
(I only heard that first part, so the song might get good after that, but I highly doubt it. Plus, my volume is messed up again. :(

We're Halfway There

In the years of your youth, you were taught to be strong.
For the whole of your life, no matter how long.
But circumstance today would have you believe,
That you don’t need Christ, and that you’re doing fine.
Satan also wants you to think this is so,
But please, don’t fall away and never let go.

We’re halfway there, now don’t be scared, cause I’ll be there to catch you when you fall.
We’ll help each other to stand above all.
Don’t give up now cause,
We’re halfway there.

The prize is so close now, I can almost taste it.
But it will be sweeter if you’re with me, it’s seems proper and fit.
I promise you that your suffering is worth much.
Let’s do this together so the pain is isn’t a bunch.

We’re halfway there, now don’t be scared, cause I’ll be there to catch you when you fall.
We’ll help each other to stand above all.
Don’t give up now cause,
We’re halfway there.

I promise to stay with you if you promise to stay with me.
I need help as well, so promise me please,
That you will stay faithful and true as I will to you.

I love you and want to be with you,
In case you never knew.
So let’s both get to heaven.
Sound like a plan to you?

We’re halfway there, now don’t be scared, cause I’ll be there to catch you when you fall.
We’ll help each other to stand above all.
Don’t give up now cause,
We’re halfway there.
We’re halfway there.
I promise you that we’re halfway there.
Halfway there,
Halfway there.
Halfway there.

This is another poem I wrote sometime ago. I came up with the chorus (including the tune) while I was walking across my Grandma's driveway in Wyoming. Yea, I know, it's pretty weird that inspiration should hit me right at that time, but it did. Once again, I have no idea what I was thinking, but I have a good guess.
There are three songs that have caught my attention.
"Livin' on a Prayer" by Bon Jovi
"Halfway There" by Big Time Rush
"Halfway There" by Rise Against
I enjoy these songs very much. The idea of being "halfway there" and persevering is quite empowering. So, looking at my views on life, I wrote this song. I'm thinking it will need more work, but it's pretty good so far, I think. I'll get the notes to the chorus on here sometime, I just need to find a piano layout or something.

An Explanation

Below is a poem I wrote one day about two months ago. I have no remembrance of what mindset I was in. What I do know is that this is a poem based of of a girl I know, but it applies to any girl, she was just an example to me as I wrote this. It's a poem saying that, even though you're beautiful, the best thing about you is the Spirit. I don't care what you look like, the Spirit is what defines beauty. This is what you may call an elect lady. I don't want to marry someone who has just looks. That would be nice, but all I really care about is marrying an elect lady. A wife who I can marry because of true love. Also, I need to point out another thing. Sexy and hot are words I see as with looks. But when I use the term, 'Beauty," I mean a strong spirit. So when I talk about beauty, remember that.

(By the way, am I sounding weird so far? I'm trying not too, but I have the feeling some of you might think so.)

Also, by the way, I want to make this into a song. And for reasons unknown, my mind was thinking of Train, (you know, the band who wrote "Hey, Soul Sister" and "If It's Love.") so I wrote this kinda in the style they write in.

Hey there, Beautiful (by Me, Andrew Ball)

Hey there, beautiful, it’s nice to see you here.
You lighten the room with your sunshine smile that stretches from ear to ear.
Your hair, it shines like beautiful silk. And your eyes are bright just like the stars.
Your skin seems like that of royalty, without any bruises or scars.
But the thing that I love about you the most is not what the eye can see.
It’s the burning power within your soul, the spirituality.

The spirit makes the best of you, in all you say, in all you do.
You’re the kind of person people want as friend.
The world can’t make you or shake you or make you twist and bend.
I hope that you stay this way all your life, because this is what I look for in a wife.

Hey, there beautiful, am I in heaven or is it just me?
Because either way, it’s all the same, because it’s with you I want to be.
And I swear it’s all by the grace of God that you should appear as an angel.
But I guess that’s what happens when your spirit takes on physical form.

The spirit makes the best of you, in all you say, in all you do.
You’re the kind of person people want as friend.
The world can’t make you or shake you or make you twist and bend.
I hope that you stay this way all your life, because this is what I look for in a wife.

I know you ain’t perfect,
There are things to fix,
But dang, you’re doing grand.
And if there’s anyone who is an example to me,
You should know that it’s definitely you!

The spirit makes the best of you, oh man, I swear it’s true!
You’re the kind of person I want as a friend.
The world won’t make you or shake you, heck, you’ll help it mend!
I hope that you stay this way all your life, because you’re the one I want as a wife.

I swear that it’s true, I love you.

"The Man Who Can't Be Moved" by The Script

Going back to the corner where I first saw you
Gonna camp in my sleeping bag, I'm not gonna move
Got some words on cardboard, got your picture in my hand
Saying if you see this girl can you tell her where I am

Some try to hand me money, they don't understand
I'm not broke I'm just a broken hearted man
I know it makes no sense, but what else can I do
How can I move on when I'm still in love with you

'Cause if one day you wake up and find that you're missing me
And your heart starts to wonder where on this earth I could be
Thinking maybe you'll come back here to the place that we'd meet
And you'd see me waiting for you on the corner of the street

So I'm not moving
I'm not moving

Policeman says son you can't stay here
I said there's someone I'm waiting for if it's a day, a month, a year
Gotta stand my ground even if it rains or snows
If she changes her mind this is the first place she will go

'Cause if one day you wake up and find that you're missing me
And your heart starts to wonder where on this earth I could be
Thinking maybe you'll come back here to the place that we'd meet
And you see me waiting for you on the corner of the street

So I'm not moving
I'm not moving
I'm not moving
I'm not moving

People talk about the guy
Who's waiting on a girl, oh whoa
There are no holes in his shoes
But a big hole in his world

Maybe I'll get famous as the man who can't be moved
And maybe you won't mean to but you'll see me on the news
And you'll come running to the corner
'Cause you'll know it's just for you

I'm the man who can't be moved
I'm the man who can't be moved

'Cause if one day you wake up and find that you're missing me
And your heart starts to wonder where on this earth I could be
Thinking maybe you'll come back here to the place that we meet
Oh, you see me waiting for you on a corner of the street

So I'm not moving
('Cause if one day you wake up, find that you're missing me)
I'm not moving
(And your heart starts to wonder where on this earth I could be)
I'm not moving
(Thinking maybe you'll come back here to the place that we'd meet)
I'm not moving
(Oh, you see me waiting for you on a corner of the street)

Going back to the corner where I first saw you
Gonna camp in my sleeping bag, I'm not gonna move

Here's the music video-

Here's a live acoustic version with the background story and inspiration-

And just for kicks, here's Jay Sean Singing it and giving his opinion on the song-

Have you ever gotten a song stuck in your head that you wish you could get out? If you answered no, then you're lying, but that's not the point. Unlike "Don't Trust Me" or "Love Game," which are both quite terrible, I actually, on purpose, got this song stuck in my head. Why? Because I have wanted to write about this song for awhile and getting it to repeat over and over in my head really got me to think on it. I now realize that this is a great song to reverberate your eardrums on end. It's clean, it has a fabulous composition, and the meaning is wonderful! This is now one of my favorite songs for this reason.

Before I go further, I must ask you this: Where is the girl? The first possible answer is that she is somewhere where the guy can't find her. The man can no longer contact her, whether by circumstance or by the girls doing. The other reason would be he feels like he can't. He can't simply show up on her doorstep. He has to prove himself to her again. Hence, the reason why he is there.

A question pops into my mind when I hear this song. What happened between the man and woman? There are a few possible theories.

1. The man is to blame. He either did many things to let this girl down, or some big secret was exposed, and the girl became angry, thus breaking the relationship between them. He now feels that in order to get her back, he must do something to show his devotion to her again.

2. The girl is to blame. She didn't think she was good enough for him, and now the man is sitting at the corner as if to say "This is how much I love you. I Will Not Move Until You Realize That I Love You."

3. They are both to blame. They both messed up and the guy is saying "We can still make this work."

So, either way, this song is undoubtedly amazing. It tells a story in such a poetic way. It's about a man's unfaltering love for a girl. This is one thing true love is based upon, always being there for each other. In the music video, it shows MANY seasons going by. When this guy says he can't be moved, he isn't lying.

So, I must ask, are you like this? Do you love someone that much? You don't have to sit at a corner, but are you there for the ones you love when they need you? Even if they don't love you back, are you still ready to love? I hope we can all someday say, "I'm the one who can't be moved." It's love so strong, NOTHING will move you in your convictions.
ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!

Great Songs of Love- Introduction

Love is an amazing thing. Not the worldly love that seems to be today's standard. I mean the unconditional, Heavenly love that creates eternal bonds. Love is so amazing, it's a subject worthy of music. Actually, the reverse is true. Music is worthy enough to sing of love. Unfortunately, as many of you may know, people don't seem to understand the power of love and music. Instead of singing about true love, the love that conquers all things, even death, they have other things to sing of that they see as more important. They would rather talk about the "sexy" features of a girl, like the frontal, upper portion of the body and her bottom. They would rather talk about how good she is at "pleasing him." Instead of singing true love, they sing worldly love. Honestly, these songs disgust me. How dare they speak of a girl so irreverently! That is a daughter of God that they're using, and they have the audacity to sing about her like that!? Woman are to be respected, not used as toys! Not only that, they're degrading their own souls in the process!

Luckily, to my unmeasurable joy, there are still COUNTLESS songs that speak of real love. The only difference between the Real and Unreal is that the nasty songs seem to be more mainstream. Here's an example.
I have a game called "Tap Tap Revenge," which is sort of like a "Rock Band" game for iPod. It's a great game and all, but there's one thing I can't seem to get: Why does a game like this have to have so much crap on it? The most heavily advertised and bought games seem to be those that are really obscene and immoral. Just to prove my point, here is a small sample of the raunchy trash.  They have 15 songs by Lady Gaga, 10 songs by Katy Perry, 12 or so songs by Nickleback, 4 songs by 3Oh!3, and the list goes on and on. Nearly every song that those artists are absolute CRAP. I like only three songs by Nickleback, two by Lady Gaga, and two by Katy Perry. As for 3Oh!3, they're just crude. If you don't want a catchy song with disgusting lyrics caught in your head, don' listen to them!
So anyway, all of those songs and many more are heavily advertised. Sex sells, that's just a fact. But, there are MANY songs that still respect love. Those are the ones that truly make a difference in the world.
So, that brings me to today's topic: Great Songs of Love. These songs strike deep in me. So deep, I consider them favorites. These are the true geniuses of lyrical writing, the ones that I respect. So hopefully, they won't come to disappoint me.
Over the next week or so, I will post some songs concerning this topic. I'll try to get one on every two days.

A Remake of "Gives You Hell" by The All-American Rejects

"Gives You Hell" by The All-American Rejects came on the radio yesterday. The song is a guy telling his ex-girlfriend that he hopes her life sucks. He has become so heart-broken that his heart has turned bitter and he  has become jealous. So, as I was listening to the lyrics, I thought, "Why can't this guy just move on? If I had broken up with someone, I would hope the next boy she finds is good. Sure, I might feel a little heart-broken for awhile, but I would move on. I should actually expect something like this to happen. Dating is not going to be all peachy. So, here it is-

"Hope your life goes well."

I wake up evening with a big smile on my face.
And it never feels out of place.
And I know that you're still working at a 7 to 10 pace.
Which I know you really hate.

So when you're at your job
Hope your life goes well, hope your life goes well.
And starting today
Hope your life goes well, hope your life goes well.

Even though it's me you dumped, love
And even though I've got some scars.
They gotten me oh so far.
I know you've been really tense, love
Don't think your life's ever been so hard,
And you've also received those scars.

And truth be told I miss you
And truth be told I'm crying.

But when you're sitting at home
Hope your life goes well, hope your life goes well.
And starting today
Hope your life goes well, hope your life goes well.

If you find a man who's name is Sam who treats you well,
Then that's cool, you ain't a fool, hope your life goes well
Hope your life goes well.

And I've been lately thinking to myself,
"Yeah, where did it all go wrong?"
But instead I wrote this song.

It's for you because I miss you.
Out of love for you I'm crying.

But when you're with yourself
Hope your life goes well, hope your life goes well.
And starting today
Hope your life goes well, hope your life goes well.

If you find a man who's name is Sam who treats you well,
Then that's cool, you ain't a fool, hope your life goes well
Hope your life goes well.

I hope we can be, with the ones that we love.
And thanks for the memories, they'll be of some use to me.
I know we sometimes lied, but will you look me in the eyes?
We're so dang sad but we'll move on, I can tell.

So when you're with that man
Hope your life goes well, hope your life goes well.
And starting today
Hope your life goes well, hope your life goes well.

If you find a man who's name is Sam who treats you well,
Then that's cool, you ain't a fool, hope your life goes well
Hope your life goes well.

Even if you think of me
Hope your life goes well, hope your life goes well.
(Hope your life goes well!)
And starting today
Hope your life goes well, hope your life goes well.
(Hope your life goes well!)

When you hear this song, and you sing along, I hope you can tell,
That we ain't no fools, were better off, well, hope your life goes well.
When you hear this song I hope that your life will go well.
You can sing along, I hope that it will go well.
