I've Got News!

I am going to write 'screenplays' for music videos.
Music videos are quite ingenious works of 'art' that incorporate things (other than music) like acting, art, writing, analyzing, and interpretation. I enjoy doing all these things, and for that reason, I'm going to be making them, minus the filming. (I'll get to that later.) Scenes ALWAYS run through my head when listening to music, and this helps me understand the lyrics a little more and understanding the lyrics more helps me to write the meaning to the song on this blog. I'm also writing them because some music videos could have been done a little better. Watch the music video for "Young" as an example. It makes sense, but it could have had more. It also jumps all over the place like a caffeinated film editor edited it. It's so jumpy!

I don't want to take space on this blog for those though, so I made another blog. I'll post something when the first one's done. here is the website name-

Oh, and I promise that my post on "This Love, This Hate" is almost done!

More Hollywood Undead

If you recall what I said in my earlier posts, I have said that I found a total of four songs by Hollywood Undead that were REALLY GOOD. The rest of their songs are absolutely foul, so don't listen to them. They swear a lot and use some sexually derogatory terms. Out of all that crap, I was able to download four songs. One song, "Young," I have heavily talked about already. For the next three posts, I will talk about those four songs. They will go in this order.

This Love, This Hate

Sell Your Soul.

Circles

(None of these songs swear in the slightest.)

And just a few minutes ago, I found a new single on iTunes called "Hear Me Now." It doesn't swear and it sounds cool! So I am going to download it. Oh, I forgot to mention that the songs will be written in the order listed. I will probably do one a day too unless my grandma's house has too slow of internet.
Bye!

A repost

For all those that read my last "collection" post, you saw that the format went a little weird at the end. This made it a little hard to read. So, I'm just going to repost that part, which was an extended version of "Young" written by me. I wrote it to fit my interpretation of the song. Also, in addition to what I wrote, I'm going to post all the lyrics on here, and any alterations and/or additions will be in red.

We are young, but we have heart
Born in this world as it all falls apart
We are strong, but we don't belong
Born in this world as it all falls apart

I see the children in the rain like the parade before the pain
I see the love, I see the hate, I see this world that we can make
I see the life, I see the sky, give it all to see you fly
Yes, we wave this flag of hatred but you're the ones who made it

Watch the beauty of all our lies passing right before my eyes
I hear the hate in all your words, all the wars to make us hurt
We get so sick of so sick, we never wanted all this
Medication for the kids with no reason to live

So we march to the drums of the devil as we come
Watch it burn in the sun, we are numb

We are young, but we have heart
Born in this world as it all falls apart
We are strong, but we don't belong
Born in this world as it all falls apart

As we walk among these shadows, in these streets, this fields of battle
Take it up, we wear the medal, raise your hands with burning candles
Hear us whisper in the dark, in the rain you see the spark
Feel the beating of our hearts, fleeting hope as we depart

All together, walk alone against all we've ever known
All we've ever really wanted was a place to call our home
But you take all we are, the innocence of our hearts
Made to kneel before the alter as you tear us apart

So we march to the drums of the devil as we come
Watch it burn in the sun, we are numb

We are young, but we have heart
Born in this world as it all falls apart
We are strong, but we don't belong
Born in this world as it all falls apart

We wander with no aim and it soon becomes a shame
For the Father of all lies, it now becomes a game.
Need direction in our life so that we can win the fight.
Now we finally see the light, now to the sky we finally fly.

Even though we walk alone, against all we've ever known.
We can all look up to Christ cause it's with him we'll find our home.
We all know who we are, and with our souls and our hearts,
We'll be others to the alter cause it won't fall apart.

We don't march to the drums of the devil as we come
We're in shade out of sun, can't go numb!

We are young, but we have heart
born in this world as it all falls apart
We are strong, yea, we do belong
to mend this world as it all falls apart

We will fight or we will fall till the angels save us all
We will fight or we will fall till the angels save us all
We will fight or we will fall till the angels save us all
We will fight or we will fall till the angels save us all

We are young, but we have heart
born in this world as it all falls apart
We are strong, yea, we do belong
to mend this world as it all falls apart

We are young, but we have heart
born in this world as it all falls apart
We are strong, yea, we do belong
to mend this world as it all falls apart

(END)

I really didn't want to be pushy and ask this, but would you guys PLEASE comment? I realize some of you have been, which I'm grateful for, and I'm grateful you're actually reading my posts, but it would be nice to receive a little feedback. If you don't ever comment again, at least comment on this post. Please?

(I just previewed this, and for some reason, it STILL formats weird! I'm going to go insane! Oh well, I'll live........)

UPDATE- It's no longer messed up! YAY! My mom figured outt that you have to use notepad and past it here because of html codes or something.

A Collection of Posts- Forgiveness, A Start, A Poem, My Extended Version of "Young," and More Info On Hollywood Undead.

Okay, it's nearly killed me, but I've restrained myself from posting so the posts I wrote actually got read instead of skipped over. So here I am, sitting at the computer, ready to write some things I have been wanting to write for a few days now. But instead of making a separate post for each thing, I'm going to do it all in one post. So.... Here I go-

Forgiveness
Last Tuesday, in seminary, we talked about forgiveness. It was a really good lesson, but there's something specific that I wanted to point out. Brother Wood pointed out the fact that the revelation in D&C:64 was given on September 11, 1831. Brother Wood didn't say anything specific, but he said that he was sure this was "no coincidence" that it was given on this day. As we all (should) know, one of America's worst moments took place on September 11, 2001, the terrorist attacks. So I'm not 100% sure what he was referring to specifically, but my guess is is that he was saying we should forgive the terrorists. I have no idea who else he could have been referring too.. It may seem absolutely insane, but it doesn't really when you think about it. God told us to forgive ALL MEN, (and woman, but you know what I mean) no matter what it was they did. I know that if I were to announce this on t.v. or something, I might end the day in the ER, but it seems logical. Yes, these terrorists brought a living nightmare upon New York City, The Pentagon, three airplanes, and the soul of all that witnessed it, but they are sons of God and deserve to be loved by him the same as any other person. What they did was horrible beyond all comprehension, but God still loves them. That being said, they too deserve forgiveness. It sound absolutely mad, but I have a feeling it's true. I know it's possible. Just look to Joseph Smith or Brother Williams for an example. (We learned about this guy too in seminary) Because of a letter written by a guy I can't remember, (the one who wrote many of the hymns) the saints and Joseph had to go through so much agony. Despite it all, Joseph was still friends with the guy afterwards. Brother Williams was able to forgive the kid who was drunk even though he killed his wife and two kids. So, even though forgiving a terrorist might be really insane, it should be done.

A Start
This is the beginning of a song. It's the chorus so far, but unfortunately, I can't tell you how to play it cause I don't know how to play the piano myself, but anyway, here it is-

I’m sorry what for what I’ve done.
I’m sorry for what I’ve become.
And I’m sorry that I’ve been this way.
But I promise you that I’ll start changing today.

I have a little bit more, but it will need work. For some reason, I keep thinking of Nickleback singing this. Dang, I wish I could somehow show you the tune because it's just so awesome! I'll post it once I figure it out. Oh, and the third line may be replaced with "And I'm sorry for the things I've said." But anyway, there it is.

A Poem
Despite the fact that I don't post too many poems, I actually have a few in reserve. I just haven't felt that it was the right time to post them. But today, I'll post one here.

One, two, I’ll buckle your shoe.
Three, four, I’ll hold the door.
Five, six, I’ll pick up your sticks.
Seven, eight, you need a break.
You need a break.
You need a break.

Service shows how much you care.
Service shows that you’ll be there.
If they ever need someone,
They know that you’ll be there to show them love.

Oh,

Life ain’t worth living if it’s all for myself,
It’s only worth living if it’s for someone else.
Help someone in need.
Service makes your life complete.
If you help someone,
It’s helping your father from above.

One, two, go out and do.
Three, four, go do some more.
Five, six, your neighbor’s sick.
Seven, eight, oh, does it feel great?

Oh, does it feel great?
 Oh, does it feel great?

Service shows how much you care.
Service shows that you’ll be there.
If they ever need someone,
They know that you’ll be there to show them love.

Oh,

Life ain’t worth living if it’s all for myself,
It’s only worth living if it’s for someone else.
Help someone in need.
Service makes your life complete.
If you help someone,
It’s helping your father from above

One, two, now you got the flue.
Three, four, can’t do your chore.
Five, six, your neighbor’s picking your sticks.
Seven, eight, you get a break.
You get a break.
You get a break.

Oh,
Service shows how much you care.
Service shows that you’ll be there.
When you’re always there for someone,
They’ll come right back to show you love.

Life ain’t worth living if it’s all for myself,
It’s only worth living if it’s for someone else.
You helped someone in need,
and now there returning that loving deed.
If you’ve ever helped someone,
You’ll get back help from everyone.

It’s a blessing.
Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

Again, awesome tune, but no way to prove it.

My Extended Version of "Young"
If you read my post on the song, you'll get this verse a little more. If you haven't go read it.
This is an extra verse that I have written to fit my interpretation of the song. I'm thinking that it would go
1.Chorus
2.Verse 1
3.Verse 2
4.Altered Hook (The line that begins"so we march to the drums..." except it's altered.)
5.Chorus (with a small alteration)
6."We will fight or we will fall..."

We wander with no aim,and
it soon becomes a shame.

We will fight, or we will fall
till the angels save us all

(And it goes on from there)
So there you go.

More Info on Hollywood Undead
I know you may be tired with me talking about this song, but keep reading anyway. I'm going to save you from going deaf.
Turns out, these guys do talk a little about drinking and sex is everywhere in there songs. It's like rap, only three-times as raunchy. I was trying to find some more good songs by these guys, and I did, but I found a lot more crap. Although my "Undead" statistic was wrong, it's not any better. it's EPICALLY RAUNCHY. I found a song called "Circles" which was pretty decent. I mean it was completely appropriate, it just wasn't my favorite. "Sell Your Soul" was appropriate in language, but it's both depressing and a little violent. It's still good though. "This Love, This Hate" is probably just as amazing as "Young." It's a tad bit depressing, but it has an amazing composition. Other than those songs, all other songs I found might give my mom a heart attack! Oh, and my mom didn't even know who Hollywood Undead was, so it's not banned. YAY!

If you had the perseverance to read this all, thank-you! And comments are appreciated.....A lot................................................................................................................................................................................................bye.
(And no, the way the last half of this post is formatted is not my fault. The rap is formatted as follows, and the very first two lines are one. It goes four, four, two, and four. If you follow this format for lines, you should see the similarities in this song with the original.

VOTING TIME!

I was looking at Anna's blog, and she was wondering what she should submit to the Teen Ink writing contest. So, that's what I'm wondering as well. What do you think is the best piece of writing on here so far?
(Oh, and if you haven't yet read the post about the song "Youth," I again BEG you to read it. I am in no way complaining, I just REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, want you to read it.

Thank-you for your time.

Oh, and if you're reading this Mr. Thompson, I want to notify you that I'm going to write something new in addition as well.

READ THIS!

I wrote a post on the Hollywood Undead song "Young" and I wrote a post on celebrities. If you decide for some reason that you only want to read one of them, READ THE ONE ABOUT THE SONG.
Thank-you, and have a nice day.

Celebrities

What makes a celebrity so special that we have to document every single thing they do. The minute someone like Angelina Jolie farts, TMZ has to document it like the world's biggest blunder. If one of them makes a stupid comment, they make it seem deeper than it really is or dirty. As everyone knows, we all make mistakes, but why is it that every blunder, whether it be past or present, is put on the front page and made bigger and badder than it really is? Everything is made to look like the celebrity is the scum of the Earth. If a break-up happens, someone is always an absolute "monster." And that brings me to another thing. What is up with all the break-ups, cheatings, and one-night stands? Have these celebrities forgotten what love is? I swear, it's like all these people met in a bar, drunk. It's just so insane. The reason I'm talking about this is because I went to Smith's tonight. I saw all of these magizines talking about how much this person's life suck because of some one else. One of these was talking about some girl and a guy named Brad (No, I don't think it was Brad Pitt.) I don't know what the story is on this guy and girl, but I swear, I've seen stories on these two people and their relationship for three years or so. It's not that that gets to me though. The thing that gets to me is the fact that they've all been about how Brads a monster and how the relationship isn't going good and all that other celebrity gossip. What's up with that? I don't know if I'm pulling earlier memories too far back or if it's a different set of people, but either way, it's annoying.

I can understand if you want to keep up with a celebrities current affairs out of curiosity. They might be really influential, and you want to know what they think on something. Sometimes, you might want to see if he's a hypocrite even. What people are doing though is not curiosity, it's just gossip. I might want to read or watch an interview with Pat Monahan or maybe some report on him, but I don't want to know what embarrassing thing he did or what scandal he's in. I really don't care and he needs his privacy. That would tick me off like no other if I were famous. I don't want to disclose every single little detail of what I'm doing in life. I would probably be known as the "paparazzi hater" since the questions paparazzi ask are really stupid. I might go crazy on camera and not even care.

My mom walked in and I told her what I was writing. In response, she brought up a very good point. If I knew that Brandon Flowers was here in Kaysville, she asked "would you go down to see him?"
"Heck yea."
"Why?"
"Uhh, because he's...... awesome and.. doesn't make crap like Lady Gaga."
That's how the conversation began. She told me that if I were to see a tabloid on The Killers, I would totally read it, which is true. She told me that I'm really no different from these other people who read tabloids. I kinda disagree though because I don't read them to make myself feel better than a celebrity who may be fat or something. Nevertheless, she's right. So I guess I shouldn't have gotten so critical before thinking of myself. So I admit it, I'm not perfect. I STILL don't care to know what every little thing they're doing. I said previously that if there was an interview or report, I would read it. Some people read them though to make themselves feel better. I don't. They're just theater nerds (as my mom says) who happen to make a whole lot more money than the average guy or girl. (And no, I'm not making fun of people in theater class. I'm in theater myself, so that would really weird if I was.) So anyway, don't depend on tabloids to lift your self esteem.
Bye.

"Young" by Hollywood Undead (Trust Me, Keep Reading.)

This is a really good song. You can feel the power and energy of what this guy sings. I have made a statement before saying that every band or artist will have at least one good song. This is that kind of song. I'm not saying these guys talk about drinking till you throw up or having a one-night stand, but they swear A LOT. I bet if I were to count the amount of swear words in the song "Undead," it would be two non-swears to for every three swear words. I don't like those kinds of songs. I'm sorry to all you Hollywood Undead fans, but I don't. I really love "Young" though. It actually swears twice, but I don't really mind. That may be quite bad, but it's used it in context. They don't use it for the hey of it. It's like the word "hell." Depending on how you use it, it's either swearing or an actual word. I think Hollywood Undead might actually be banned at our house, I'm not quite sure. (But the amount of swearing would cause it to be banned anyway.) So I just wanted to show you this song, because it really is great.
This song categorizes into a genre called rap metal. It's exactly what it sounds like. It's sung in the style of rap, but it has all the elements a metal and/or rock song might have. It sounds quite cool. For those of you who don't like screamo, then go ahead without worry because It doesn't have any. Just click on the link below and watch the video before or after you read this. It's an awesome song!

We are young, we have heart
Born in this world as it all falls apart
We are strong, we don't belong
Born in this world as it all falls apart

<(This chorus is saying that although we might be strong, we are in a time where a lot of evil is in this world. (Which, I might add, is the reason we live at this time.))>

I see the children in the rain like the parade before the pain
I see the love, I see the hate, I see this world that we can make
I see the life, I see the sky, give it all to see you fly
Yes, we wave this flag of hatred but you're the ones who made it

<(I think this verse is saying that all of us, the youth of this world, have so much potential to make a difference and become great, but many of us don't because of factors we can't control.(Although, there are some that we can, but the last line of the verse suggests that it's about he uncontrollable.))>

Watch the beauty of all our lies passing right before my eyes
I hear the hate in all your words, all the wars to make us hurt
We get so sick of so sick, we never wanted all this
Medication for the kids with no reason to live

<(Again, the first two lines are talking about seemingly uncontrollable factors. The next line says that we don't want any of this. We're sick of it. The next line might speak of actual medication. We have it, "but why live," it says?)>

So we march to the drums of the d***** as we come
Watch it burn in the sun, we are numb

<(A drummer keeps things on beat, such as marchers. In this case, it says that we are "marching" with the tempters and deceivers, such a Satan. We blindly follow them without a fight. We're being "sunburned" by the evil. We don't realize what is happening because we have become numb to the evil. We don''t recognize just what mess we've gotten ourselves into until it's too late. By then, we're either dead spiritually or physically. If we're not either of those, we're getting very close, and it's going to take a lot to be revived.)>

We are young, we have heart
Born in this world as it all falls apart
We are strong, we don't belong
Born in this world as it all falls apart

As we walk among these shadows, in these streets, this fields of battle
Take it up, we wear the medal, raise your hands with burning candles
Hear us whisper in the dark, in the rain you see the spark
Feel the beating of our hearts, fleeting hope as we depart

<(This is my probably favorite verse. It has a lot of power and has that hint of mystery woven in the lyrics. "As we walk among these shadows" seems to describe the loneliness and danger of the streets. The next part says "Streets=Fields of battle." The second line seems to be a statement of coming together. I imagine hundreds of burning candles being raised up among the city, small spots of light in an evil world. It just seems to be a statement of becoming united. The part of the medal seems contradictory though. I think this 'medal' is a false medal or something. Next line seems to be an uprising, something like the last line. The youth are starting to become of force of light to be reckoned with. Then last, some more intense description of feeling and power. It then states how when not united or together, hope is lost. Therefore, we must stay united.)>

All together, walk alone against all we've ever known
All we've ever really wanted was a place to call our home
But you take all we are, the innocence of our hearts
Made to kneel before the alter as you tear us apart

<(Life is hard, and when your facing the world and much of modern society, it's like you're going against all you've ever known. It may also be talking about how some people finally take a stand, hence, they go against all they've ever known. If parents have been irresponsible or abusive, the next line says how they've always just wanted a love and peace. Even if you have good parents, there's always room for more love and peace. We are not perfect, after all. The next line refers to the bad influences of the world and Satan. Both take the innocence of our hearts. Maybe physically with abuse or drugs or spiritually with pornography. The last line talks about a metaphorical alter. When we follow Satan, whether we realize it or not, it is like kneeling at his "religious" shrine. We sometimes follow something bad without knowing it's bad. These kids have been raised up in a wrong way, so they are unknowingly kneeling before an alter of evil and it's destroying them, but they don't know it.)>

So we march to the drums of the d***** as we come
Watch it burn in the sun, we are numb

We are young, we have heart
Born in this world as it all falls apart
We are strong, we don't belong
Born in this world as it all falls apart

We will fight or we will fall till the angels save us all
We will fight or we will fall till the angels save us all
We will fight or we will fall till the angels save us all
We will fight or we will fall till the angels save us all

<(This is almost like a war cry. A deceleration that we will either fight against evil. If we don't we will either die or spiritually die. And we're going to keep fighting until we are saved by either the every-day angels of our lives, or literally by Christ and his Angels.)>

We are young, we have heart
Born in this world as it all falls apart
We are strong, we don't belong
Born in this world as it all falls apart

We are young, we have heart
Born in this world as it all falls apart
We are strong, we don't belong
Born in this world as it all falls apart

<(END)>

As you might have guessed, not all of our lives are this bad. Yes, we need to be united and work as a team and Satan is real, but not everyone lives on the dangerous streets or has abusive parents. Therefore, I am soooo grateful for my current circumstance in life and also that I have the gospel. The gospel just makes the war we call life a whole lot easier. Not only that EVERY SINGLE PERSON ON EARTH HAS THE LIGHT OF CHRIST. So train yourself to recognize those "false alters" and start following Christ. It is only with him that our world will find true peace and happiness.

Thank-you for reading.

Here's the music video below-

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R_HHm9ki3JI

The music video is almost pg-13. It shows the band over-taking on old guy who is apparently a dictator, but they don't beat him up or kill him, just over-take him. It also shows a woman on one of various posters in a slightly low-cut bikini. So if you're like me and you find that immodest, I thought I should warn you. The posters it shows seems to glorify the rich, beautiful (the worldly view), and sexual way of life. This suggests that true happiness doesn't lie in these things, which is true. One sign even says "Smile, some one's watching you." Giving proof that some dictatorship and oppression is occurring. Another strange thing is that the dictator's flag, which has a grenade as the emblem, is in black and white on red, just like the Nazi Swastika. This actually has meaning to it. Hitler trained youth to fight for him. He deceived them and made them do his bidding.

Sooooooooo thank-you again for reading some more even though this post technically ended a paragraph ago.

Oh, And One More Thing....

For the Holidays, listen to Trains "Shake Up Christmas." It's a very fun song.

Train

Train is a sort of folk-rock band from San Fransisco. It is Composed of Pat Monahan, who is the lead vocalist, Jimmy Stafford, who is also the vocalist and guitarist, and Scott Underwood, the percussionist. They are an amazing band and probably one of my favorites. They make such awesome songs, and I love every single one of them. They even won two Grammy awards for their song "Drops of Jupiter." The songs they write are beautiful and fun. Not only that, I haven't found one song by them that talks about lust. They talk of actual love! I find that pretty dang awesome. In fact, there's a line in the song "Marry Me" that states "you wear white and I wear out the words 'I love you' and 'you're beautiful.' That line is both clever and beautiful. Not only that, "you wear white" suggests that this girl has been chaste in her life. It's a tradition to wear white at your wedding if that is the case. So this guy (Pat Monahan) seems to respect the law of chastity. They also use a whole lot of string instruments such as cellos and violins, which is WAAAAAAAY awesome. So, I just wanted to give a little thoughts on this magnificent band. Here are some songs to listen to as well.

"Marry Me" and "Marry Me (First Dance Mix)" The mix is not a techno version, despite the name.

"Brick by Brick"

"This Ain't Goodbye" This was co-written by Pat Monahan and Ryan Tedder of OneRepublic, so if you like that band, you should like this song.

"Words"

"I Got You" This song samples, meaning contains lyrics of, the Doobie Brother's "Black Water."

"Parachute"

While you're at it, listen to everything else. They're all awesome. The album "Save Me San Fransisco" is excellent. I actually bought it. The song of the same name says the D-word though. Just thought I should warn you. It's an awesome song though.

I Was Wrong

Remember how I said Katy Perry was a bad artist? Yea....I take that back. Although I still think "California Gurls" is sick and "I Kissed a Girl" is wrong on soooooooooooo many levels, a few of her songs are actually VERY good. "Teenage Dream," "Thinking of You," and "Firework" are all really good. I haven't listened to the others, but I will now assume they're good. Oh, "Hot N Cold" is sorta good as well . So, I just wanted to tell you all that.

Good-bye.

"Into the Ocean" by Blue October

I'm just a normal boy
That sank when I fell overboard
My ship would leave the country
But I'd rather swim ashore

Without a life vest I'd be stuck again
Wish I was much more masculine
Maybe then I could learn to swim
Like 'fourteen miles away'

Now floating up and down
I spin, colliding into sound
Like whales beneath me diving down
I'm sinking to the bottom of my
Everything that freaks me out
The lighthouse beam has just run out
I'm cold as cold as cold can be
Be

I want to swim away but don't know how
Sometimes it feels just like I'm falling in the ocean
Let the waves up take me down
Let the hurricane set in motion, yeah
Let the rain of what I feel right now, come down
Let the rain come down

Where is the coastguard
I keep looking each direction
For a spotlight, give me something
I need something for protection
Maybe flotsam junk will do just fine
The jetsam sunk, I'm left behind
I'm treading for my life believe me
(How can I keep up this breathing)

Not knowing how to think
I scream aloud, begin to sink
My legs and arms are broken down
With envy for the solid ground
I'm reaching for the life within me
How can one man stop his ending
I thought of just your face
Relaxed, and floated into space

I want to swim away but don't know how
Sometimes it feels just like I'm falling in the ocean
Let the waves up take me down
Let the hurricane set in motion, yeah
Let the rain of what I feel right now, come down
Let the rain come down

Now waking to the sun
I calculate what I had done
Like jumping from the bow, yeah
Just to prove that I knew how, yeah
It's midnight's late reminder of
The loss of her, the one I love
My will to quickly end it all
So thought no end my need to fall

Into the ocean, end it all
Into the ocean, end it all
Into the ocean, end it all
Into the ocean, end it all

Into the ocean (goodbye) end it all (goodbye)
Into the ocean (goodbye) end it all (goodbye)
Into the ocean (goodbye) end it all (goodbye)

I want to swim away but don't know how
Sometimes it feels just like I'm falling in the ocean
Let the waves up take me down
Let the hurricane set in motion, yeah
Let the rain of what I feel right now, come down
Let the rain come down

Into the ocean (goodbye) end it all (goodbye)
(In to space)
Into the ocean (goodbye) end it all (goodbye)
Into the ocean (goodbye) end it all (goodbye)
Into the ocean (goodbye) end it all (goodbye)
Into the ocean (goodbye) end it all (goodbye)
Into the ocean (goodbye) end it all (goodbye)
I thought of just your face.

This song is a description of the singers depression and suicidal tendencies.
This song tells of a dream spawned by a man's depression over the death of a loved one. He dreams of drowning and fighting to keep alive, but when he thinks of the one he has lost, it seems that he gives up. He's tired of fighting when he's so miserable and (seemingly) alone. He loses to will to live and he dies. At the point where he says "midnight's late reminder," this says that it was all a dream. That's basically the outline of the song. Before I post my complete interpretation though, I'll let you people think on it.

This song is amazing. It's written like poetry and composed in such a deep way. I LOVE IT! It's like "The Man Who Can't Be Moved." I love it so much, it takes root in my brain and keeps reverberating on and on, but I don't care. In fact, I love it! It doesn't drive me insane like "Disturbia" did. (Even though I like it.)

This is a sort of rock song, but it's just a little bit more rock than "The Man Who Can't Be Moved." It's got a sort of riffing beat that sounds like some sort of steel drum, only deeper. I don't really know what it is, but it's quite unique. It's got an low-electric guitar and bass.Drums and cymbals are used, and for it's crowning piece, a mandolin (or something like it) is used with a bow, making the most exquisite sound.   So, if you are one of those people who doesn't enjoy rock as much should REALLY enjoy this song. It's absolutely amazing.

This next statement is one reason I love music. some people who were contemplating suicide changed their minds after hearing this song.

Into the Ocean," with Delahoussaye's seductive violin siren call and plucked mandolin, openly contemplates a death wish with so much honesty, fans write to the band, claiming tracks like this have prevented their own suicidal impulses.
"I love Justin's lyrics," says guitarist [CB] Hudson, ..."Our music touches people in the heart. I'm really proud of that."
"If I have saved others, I don't know what to say," admits Justin. "But if I can do that for them, why... can't I do that for myself?"[1]
